i24NEWS reporter Nofar Greenfeld embarks on a culinary tour between Kiryat Anavim and Ma'ale HaHamisha, uncovering a vibrant scene of fine food, pastoral landscapes, and history. The first stop is 'Bakery Harim' in Kiryat Anavim, where about 800 pastries are produced on regular days and over 1,000 on weekends. Pastry chef Arbel Shauli describes a team of nearly 30 bakers. Five minutes away is 'Nura', a fire restaurant located in Tnuva's first historic cowshed. Executive chef Adi Levi explains that 'Nura' means fire in Aramaic, and all dishes are cooked over an open flame. The historic structure has been preserved, including parts of the floor and old beams. The final stop is 'Cafe Hamamat Has'chlabim' in Kibbutz Ma'ale HaHamisha, founded in 1938. The kibbutz's old greenhouse stood abandoned until ten years ago when the Aslan family turned it into a cafe. Owner Daniela Silberstein Aslan says they initially came to water the remaining orchids, and the idea grew from there. She handles the design, while her husband David manages the menu. The article blends descriptions of food, scenery, and local history.
