From the front to the field: Second season of the Reservists League kicks off

The second season of the Toto Reservists League is underway, a sports-community initiative by Toto and the Israel Football Association that connects reservists through football. The project, managed by 'Haluz – Education through Sport', allows football teams to play according to their military units. In the first season, 700 reservists participated; the second season is expected to see about a thousand, and a basketball league is also opening with around 250 reservists.

The second season of the Toto Reservists League is underway. The project, a collaboration between Toto and the Israel Football Association managed by 'Haluz – Education through Sport', aims to connect reservists through football. Teams are organized by the participants' military units, with the goal of preserving the camaraderie and friendship from military service in civilian life. Founder Maayan Fedan explains that the aim is to create a framework for a healthy routine and maintaining contact with army friends. In the first season, 700 reservists participated, and the second season is expected to see about a thousand. Additionally, a basketball league is opening with around 250 reservists. The project is funded by Toto as part of 'Toto's Social Field', an initiative promoting social goals through sports. The league offers a rehabilitative-therapeutic platform after a prolonged period of combat and repeated call-ups for reserve duty.
