"He is under pressure and acting without realism": Eisenkot launches a frontal attack on Netanyahu before the elections

Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot launched a frontal attack on Prime Minister Netanyahu in an interview with 103FM, accusing him of lying to citizens and acting without realism. Eisenkot said that Yashar must be 3–6 seats larger than Likud to receive the mandate to form the government.

Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot harshly attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an interview with Radio 103FM, just days before the elections. Eisenkot said that Netanyahu "is under very great pressure and is acting without realism," and accused him of lying to Israeli citizens when he claimed to have saved the country from nuclear bombs. He added that the talk about preparing for sanctions is not new to him, and that Netanyahu is acting out of a desire to motivate voters and create an emergency reality, as he has done in previous election campaigns. Eisenkot also addressed the competition within the bloc, stating that "only a Yashar significantly larger than Likud is the key to change," and that they need to be 3 to 6 seats larger than Likud for the mandate to form the government to fall on them. In the interview, Eisenkot was asked if he would be the next prime minister and answered in the affirmative.
