Hamas has failed - Katz sent a signal to Iran
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Hamas's policy in Gaza has failed, citing a poll according to which only 9.7% of the sector's residents consider armed struggle effective. Katz emphasized that Israel will continue military operations, depriving terrorist organizations of territory and infrastructure, and will not allow Iran to rearm Hamas.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz declared that Hamas's policy in the Gaza Strip has failed. As evidence, he cited the results of a JMCC poll, according to which only 9.7% of respondents in Gaza consider armed struggle the most effective way to achieve Palestinian goals. Katz noted that this reflects a realization of the situation rather than a change in views. He emphasized that the policy he is implementing together with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is aimed at depriving jihadist organizations of territory, infrastructure, command personnel, and the ability to rebuild. This approach has already been applied in Gaza, Lebanon, and northern Samaria and includes civilian evacuation, freedom of action for the IDF, destruction of terrorist infrastructure, and elimination of militant commanders. Katz stated that Israel has thwarted the plans of the Palestinian Corps in Iran and will not allow Iran or any other factor to rearm Hamas. He emphasized that the campaign is not yet over and that Israel has important goals remaining regarding Iran and other fronts.
