"Hamas" calls for prosecuting occupation leaders after burial of remains of 105 martyrs
Hamas called on Thursday for prosecuting Israeli occupation leaders and not letting them escape punishment, following the burial of the bodies of 105 martyrs whose remains were retrieved from under the rubble of the Al-Taj Tower in Gaza. It demanded the International Criminal Court continue its investigation and called on world courts to prosecute those it described as war criminals.
The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" called on Thursday for continuing to prosecute Israeli occupation leaders responsible for crimes committed against civilians in the Gaza Strip, and not letting them escape punishment. The call came after the burial of the bodies of 105 martyrs following the retrieval of their remains from under the rubble of the Al-Taj Tower in central Gaza City. The movement said in a press statement that the burial of the martyrs' remains brought back to the forefront the tragedy of families who waited long to find their children and lay them to rest. It added that the scene reflects the scale of crimes committed against civilians and compounds the suffering of other families still waiting to know the fate of their children. Hamas pointed out that preventing the entry of equipment needed to remove rubble hinders the work of civil defense teams. The movement demanded the International Criminal Court continue its investigation and prosecute occupation leaders, and also called on competent courts in countries around the world to activate their powers to prosecute those it described as war criminals. It stressed that crimes committed against civilians cannot go unaccounted for.
