Report: Iran prepares to bring additional countries into the circle of fire
Senior Iranian officials reveal to Reuters that in the event of a new American attack, the response will not be symbolic but will include regional and global escalation. The targets: harming American interests worldwide and attacking countries that assist the US military. Proxies in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq have been instructed to prepare for a coordinated strike. Meanwhile, diplomatic contacts continue but the chances of an agreement are slim.
Senior officials in Tehran reveal to the Reuters news agency that Iran is formulating operational plans for a broad, aggressive, and unprecedented retaliatory attack if the United States renews its extensive strikes against it. According to the report, the military leadership in Tehran has decided that a future response will not be symbolic, but will include a significant expansion of the target bank – including direct harm to American interests outside the Middle East, and attacks against countries that provide assistance to Washington's military activity. Operational instructions have already been passed to Tehran's proxies in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq to prepare for a coordinated, multi-front regional strike. Alongside the threats, Tehran is trying to keep the diplomatic channel open due to the economic distress and the American naval blockade. Iran submitted a proposal for a seven-day ceasefire in exchange for lifting the blockade and releasing frozen funds, but Trump rejected it and demands the dismantling of the nuclear program.
