Movement restrictions, settlement expansion and demolition in Hebron, and closure of Jenin village entrances
The Israeli occupation forces imposed movement restrictions in Jenin governorate on Sunday by closing iron gates at the entrances of the towns of Ya'bad, Arraba, Kafayrit, and Marka, while settlers continued to bulldoze land in Hebron and set up tents in preparation for establishing an outpost. The forces also demolished a residential building in the Farsh al-Hawa area of Hebron, coinciding with the ongoing military operation in the city.
Various areas of the West Bank witnessed Israeli measures on Sunday, October 25, 2026, including the closure of entrances to towns and villages in Jenin governorate, the evacuation of families and demolition of structures in Hebron, along with the bulldozing of Palestinian land and the erection of tents in preparation for establishing an outpost south of the governorate, according to reports from the Palestinian news agency Wafa and the Commission of Resistance to the Wall and Settlements. In Jenin governorate, occupation forces closed iron gates at the entrances of the towns of Ya'bad, Arraba, Kafayrit, and Marka, hindering the movement of residents. Wafa reported that the forces recently erected 26 iron gates at the entrances of villages and towns in the governorate. In southern Hebron, settlers, under the protection of occupation forces, continued bulldozing land in the Khallat al-Farra and Marah al-Rabiya areas for the second consecutive day, and set up tents in preparation for establishing an outpost and farms near the "Otni'el" settlement. The sources added that landowners were prevented from accessing their properties. These developments come alongside the ongoing Israeli military operation in Hebron city, where the Commission of Resistance to the Wall and Settlements said that the forces demolished a building containing three apartments in the Farsh al-Hawa area and bulldozed about seven dunams of land. The commission stated that it documented about 272 attacks in Hebron governorate during September 2026, including 122 attacks carried out by settlers, in addition to 19 demolition operations that affected 91 structures. The commission linked the recent measures to a broader path of settlement expansion and restriction of Palestinian movement.
