Geert Wilders, the leader of the right in the Netherlands, published a public message of support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of Tuesday's elections. Wilders wrote on his X account: 'You deserve to win on Tuesday, my friend Bibi.' He added that defending Israel against the terrorism of Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas is an interest of all of Europe, and that Netanyahu has done more to protect Europe's freedom than all European leaders combined. Wilders has been a staunch friend of Israel for years, having lived there in his youth and visited many times. His message joins the support given by US President Donald Trump to Netanyahu about a week before the elections.
