Gantz claims: Lieberman and Bennett's big plan to prevent Eisenkot from becoming prime minister
Benny Gantz claimed in an interview that Avigdor Lieberman, Naftali Bennett, and Yair Lapid are planning a political combination that would allow Lieberman to become prime minister at the expense of Gadi Eisenkot. Gantz warned that the bloc is heading toward a government relying on the Arab parties and called for a cross-bloc Zionist government led by Eisenkot with Likud.
In an interview with Radio North 104.5FM, Benny Gantz claimed that Avigdor Lieberman, Naftali Bennett, and Yair Lapid are planning a political maneuver to prevent Gadi Eisenkot from becoming prime minister. According to Gantz, Lieberman cannot realize his ambition for the premiership with a relatively low number of seats, so he will join another party to enlarge the faction. Gantz assessed that in such a scenario, the bloc leaders would also rely on the Arab parties. Gantz himself presented a different alternative: a government led by Eisenkot that would include Likud, which he called a "cross-bloc Zionist government." He warned that the bloc is heading toward a "Gadi-Tibi" (Eisenkot with Ahmad Tibi) scenario instead of "Gadi-Bibi" (Eisenkot with Netanyahu). Gantz emphasized that after October 7, it is impossible to establish a government that relies on the Arab or Haredi parties.
