Gadi Eisenkot in a new appeal against Netanyahu: "Omissions regarding Hamas's rapprochement with Iran"
The "Yashar!" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, appealed to the Attorney General demanding legal action against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following suspicions that he presented a partial and distorted picture of security documents preceding the October 7 massacre, while omitting warnings about Hamas's rapprochement with Iran.
The "Yashar!" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, appealed to the Attorney General demanding legal action against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The appeal comes amid suspicions that Netanyahu presented a partial and distorted picture of security documents preceding the October 7, 2023 massacre. Among other things, it is alleged that significant warnings and intelligence assessments were omitted from a document dated October 3, 2023, just four days before the massacre, concerning Hamas's strengthening and its rapprochement with the Iranian axis. Maj. Gen. (res.) Avi Gil was quoted saying that the document submitted to the State Comptroller "does not reflect what really happened. It's part of the truth but not the whole truth." Alongside the legal appeal, a call by bereaved families for a state commission of inquiry was also published, demanding impartial action. Itzik Pitusi, a bereaved father, spoke of the fallen heroes' bravery alongside the depth of the failure and intelligence blindness that led to the severe consequences.
