The military prosecution approached several retired military judges and senior civilian judges, requesting they be appointed to preside over the anticipated legal proceedings against the Nukhba terrorists, as reported in the "Kan News" edition. Some of the judges refused due to fear of arrest and international prosecution abroad, which could jeopardize their ability to travel worldwide. Earlier this week, it was reported that the Constitution Committee learned there is no timeline for filing indictments against the terrorists, and that the recruitment of judges and prosecutors will be completed only by early 2027. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit stated that it is not aware that the judges' refusal stems from fear of prosecution.
