The association that receives millions from the state and accuses Israel of 'genocide'
The 'Women Against Violence' association, which receives tens of millions of shekels from the state, is accused of promoting an anti-Israeli agenda that includes accusing Israel of 'genocide' in Gaza. The CEO, Na'ila Awad, refused to comment.
The 'Women Against Violence' association, one of the largest in Arab society dealing with violence against women, receives budgets of tens of millions of shekels from the state. However, it turns out that the CEO of the association, Na'ila Awad, is recruiting the organization for a distinctly anti-Israeli agenda. She accuses Israel of 'genocide' in Gaza and says the association will not cooperate with feminist organizations that 'deny the genocide.' The association participated in protests against the government claiming that Israel created 'starvation in Gaza' and held conferences under the title 'Promoting Feminist Peace in a Time of Genocide.' In the last decade, the state transferred 41 million shekels to the association. The US government transferred two and a half million shekels and the European Union transferred about one million shekels. A request for comment from the CEO was not answered.
