A chance meeting in the corridor outside the Walla studio turned into a heated verbal confrontation between Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben Gvir and "Together" chairman Naftali Bennett. The two arrived at the location simultaneously and exchanged loud words in front of the cameras. Ben Gvir called on Bennett to confront him on camera, and Bennett replied that he is running against Netanyahu, not against him. Bennett accused Ben Gvir of being afraid of terrorists and surrounding himself with police, and asked where he was on October 7. Ben Gvir in response called Bennett a "swindler" and reminded him of his past support for a government with Mansour Abbas. Bennett tried to wave off the accusations with a smile, telling those present that everything was fine. Staff and security had to separate the two. While Bennett entered the studio, Ben Gvir continued to urge those around him that he wanted a confrontation and Bennett was afraid. The incident reflects the high political tension between the camps ahead of the elections.
