The Southern District Attorney's Office is expected to file an indictment tomorrow against Shai Banamo, a former senior official in Shalom Domerani's organization, in an extortion case. Banamo was arrested about two months ago and is considered a senior figure in the criminal underworld in Kiryat Gat.

The Southern District Attorney's Office is expected to file an indictment tomorrow (Monday) against Shai Banamo, considered one of the main targets of the police in the Kiryat Gat area and a senior figure in the southern crime world. Banamo was arrested about two months ago as part of the 'Relay Race' case, which centers on suspicions of extortion. Also arrested in the case was Eyal Nager, considered the head of a crime organization in the southern region. Banamo was previously a senior official in Shalom Domerani's organization, but according to police intelligence, in recent years he has detached from crime organizations in the Lakhish area and now heads an influential gang in the Kiryat Gat crime world. Attorney Einav Yitach, representing Banamo, stated that the claims that the suspects are not connected to the offenses are unfounded, and that they deny the suspicions. Attorney Moshe Yochai, also representing Banamo, stated that his client completely denies the suspicions and provided a detailed version, and that there is no direct or indirect evidence linking him to the suspicions.
