Two officers were killed in the crash of a Saudi National Guard reconnaissance helicopter in the Najran region, near the Yemen border. The coalition spokesperson, Turki al-Maliki, attributed the crash to a technical malfunction. In contrast, Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed that his men shot down the helicopter. The Houthis released a video they say documents the strike. Meanwhile, according to Houthi media outlets, nine people were killed and 16 wounded in a Saudi airstrike on a house in the city of Saada in northern Yemen. The incident occurs against the backdrop of an escalation in fighting in Yemen, following the collapse of the ceasefire between the Houthis and government forces backed by Saudi Arabia. In recent days, the rebels have also attacked Riyadh's airport and the Saudi oil company Aramco.
