Former Likud MK calls on voters to send Netanyahu to the opposition
Former minister Benny Begin, son of former Prime Minister Menachem Begin, released a video attacking Prime Minister Netanyahu and calling on Likud voters to vote for opposition parties in Tuesday's elections. Begin called Netanyahu 'a threat to all of us' and urged 'putting an end to this government'. He expressed hope that the party he supports will help replace the current government, which he claims 'has proven its incompetence and ill will'.
Former minister and Likud MK Benny Begin, son of former Prime Minister Menachem Begin, released a video today (Sunday) harshly criticizing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and calling on Likud members to vote in the upcoming elections for parties that will bring about a change of government. In the video, Begin said: 'In recent days, we have seen Netanyahu stressed, frightened, terrified - yesterday he threatened us with destroying Israel's economy, and today he threatened us with dropping an atomic bomb on Tel Aviv accompanied by a frightening AI image. Such a prime minister is a threat to all of us.' He directly addressed Likud voters: 'Likud members, put an end to this government, send them to the opposition. Vote on Tuesday for parties that will bring about a change of government now, for the future of our children, for the joy of our grandchildren.' These remarks join his statements from about two weeks ago, when he declared in an interview with Radio 103FM that he intends to vote for one of the opposition parties but refused to specify which one. Begin expressed hope that the party he supports will help replace the current government, which he claims 'has proven its incompetence and ill will'. He also praised the Bennett-Lapid government and the participation of Ra'am in the coalition.
