An indictment was filed today (Wednesday) against five minors, residents of Lod and Ramle, for a severe assault on a young man in his 20s in the Neot Shamir neighborhood of Ramle. According to the indictment, the five attacked the young man with punches and kicks, even after he fell to the ground, causing him significant injuries and loss of consciousness. The assault occurred on Sunday, October 11, in the afternoon. The police prosecution is requesting an order for their detention until the end of legal proceedings. The young man told i24NEWS that he left his home to help his father with a delivery, and on the way encountered a group of youths. He said he tried to avoid a confrontation, but one of them called him over, and then one of the attackers punched him and the others joined the assault. He added that he was kicked in the head and that one of the attackers held a knife, which he said fell from his hands during the incident. According to him, the attackers fled the scene after the assault.
