Nania was murdered in front of her son - and her daughter testified: "He also pulled a knife on us, Mom held back"
Anchi, the daughter of Nania Kalb who was stabbed to death in Be'er Sheva, testifies about prolonged domestic violence. She says police arrived multiple times but the mother refused to file a complaint. The family sought help from social services but claims they were not answered. The municipality denies receiving prior complaints.
Nania Kalb (38) was stabbed to death this week in her apartment in Be'er Sheva, allegedly by her husband. Her five-year-old son was in the apartment during the murder and tried to call for help. Her eldest daughter, Anchi (22), told ynet about the ongoing violence at home: the husband would also pull a knife on the children, and police arrived several times, but the mother refused to file a complaint. Anchi claims that in recent months the family repeatedly contacted the Be'er Sheva municipality's social services department seeking treatment for the father, but were not answered. Anchi's partner, Moshe, said they called social services on Rosh Hashanah eve and reported an urgent case, but were told that if there was no danger to life, treatment would be postponed. The Be'er Sheva municipality stated that no prior complaints or reports of violence by the husband had been received. Anchi will postpone her law studies to care for her brother.
