Edna Halbani, who worked for 50 years as a visit coordinator in the Prime Minister's Office, issued sharp criticism of Benjamin Netanyahu, his family, and government policy. In an address marking the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre, she called on the prime minister to step down.

Edna Halbani, who worked for about 50 years as a visit coordinator and head of the visits department in the Prime Minister's Office, issued a sharp public address to Benjamin Netanyahu. Ahead of the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre, she called on the prime minister to resign, stating: "Take your wife and your son and get out of here, far away from here." Halbani said she worked with Netanyahu from 1996 to 2021, and while professional relations were good, she never politically supported him. She criticized the dismissal of civil service employees, the appointment of Itamar Ben-Gvir as Minister of Internal Security, the judicial reform, and Netanyahu's response to the events of October 7, calling them "the greatest catastrophe." Halbani also mentioned that after leaving, she did not receive a call from Netanyahu wishing her well, and stated she would fight against him by all legal means.
