Everything is kosher in the name of hatred for Israel: The 'journalists' on the BBC lists exposed

A Telegraph investigation reveals that 53 Gazans presented by the BBC as 'journalists' killed in the war were affiliated with Hamas, Islamic Jihad, or terrorist organizations. Some were documented in uniforms and with weapons, while others were described as 'fighters' and 'martyrs'. 12 of them were removed from the CPJ list after being determined not to be journalists.

A new investigation by the British Telegraph reveals that 53 Gazans presented by the BBC as 'journalists' killed during the war in Gaza had ties to Hamas, Islamic Jihad, or other terrorist organizations. Some were documented on social media wearing military uniforms, holding weapons, or wearing headbands associated with terrorist groups. Others received condolence notices after their deaths from Hamas or Islamic Jihad, in which they were described as 'fighters', 'activists', or 'martyrs'. Despite this, their names were included in BBC Arabic lists under the definition 'journalists'. Ten of them also appeared on the English news site. The investigation notes specific cases: Abdullah Darwish, presented as a cameraman for Al-Aqsa TV, participated in the October 7 massacre as part of the Al-Qassam Brigades; Yaqoub al-Barsh, presented as a media figure, was identified as a member of the Al-Qassam Brigades; Rizq Abu Shaqian was seen in a video wearing Hamas uniform and holding a rifle. The CPJ also found problems: 12 of the names were removed from the organization's list after it was determined they were not journalists or had participated in combat. The publication joins previous criticisms of BBC Arabic, including an internal memo claiming the channel chose to 'minimize Israeli suffering'.
