After being accused of falsifying his resume: Ayalon Highways chairman dismissed

Idan David, chairman of Ayalon Highways, was dismissed from his position following an investigation that revealed significant discrepancies between the resume he presented and reality. The Government Companies Appointments Committee made the decision this morning. David denied the allegations and claimed he was not given enough time to present his position. The Government Companies Authority filed a police complaint on suspicion of forgery.

Idan David, chairman of Ayalon Highways, was dismissed this morning (Sunday) by the Government Companies Appointments Committee, headed by retired judge Shlomit Dotan. The decision came following an investigation published by Yossi Mizrahi on Channel 12's program "The Critic," which revealed significant gaps between the resume David presented and reality. David denied the allegations and conveyed to the committee that he was not given enough time to present his position, despite the story being exposed about ten days ago. The Government Companies Authority filed a police complaint against David on suspicion of forgery and other offenses, and the police have opened an investigation. Following the investigation, David is also expected to be removed from his position as a director on the council for regulating sports betting (Toto). The investigation claimed that David presented exaggerated data in his resume regarding Magdalit and IDY GROUP, including revenues and balance sheets far higher than the actual figures. The accountant whose approval the candidacy relied on, Yoram Barzani, denied signing the document.
