Foreign ministers of Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and European countries met in Istanbul, calling for a two-state solution and guaranteeing navigation, and condemning Houthi escalation against Riyadh. The ministers, according to a statement by the official spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, affirmed that the Israeli occupation constitutes the primary source of instability in the region, and that its policies create a deep sense of injustice among global public opinion. They renewed their support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their inalienable right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent, sovereign, viable, and geographically contiguous state on the basis of the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital. They also called for an urgent halt to ongoing Israeli violations and attempts to change the legal and historical status of Jerusalem.
