The Palestinian Prisoners Studies Center documented 530 arrests carried out by Israeli occupation forces during September in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem. The arrests included 39 children under 18, the youngest being Habib Allah al-Qawasmeh, 13, from Hebron, and 15 women and girls. Prisoner Mu'taz Nizam al-Atrash (21) from Hebron died in Ofer Prison, raising the death toll of the prisoner movement to 329 since 1967, including 92 since October 7, 2023. Occupation authorities issued over 625 administrative detention orders during the month. The number of prisoners serving life sentences rose to 119 after a new sentence against Ghaith Muhammad Jaradat from Jenin. In the Gaza Strip, the occupation released 61 detainees, including workers, while naval forces arrested 10 fishermen. Gaza prisoners in Janot, Rakevet, Sde Teiman, and Naqab prisons face harsh conditions including beatings, sexual assaults, and deprivation of food and prayer.
