North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited a factory mass-producing attack drones. The appearance of some of the drones resembles the Israeli Harop loitering munition. Kim Jong-un ordered the active integration of AI into the military sphere and increased automation of artillery.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited a defense enterprise where mass production of attack drones has been established. State media released footage from the factory showing dozens of delta-wing aircraft. The appearance of some drones noticeably resembles the Israeli Harop loitering munition, although Pyongyang has not officially reported copying a foreign model. North Korea first demonstrated a drone of this design in August 2024 and later reported tests of tactical attack drones of the "Kumsong" series. Kim Jong-un has previously called the development of unmanned aviation and AI technologies a direction for army modernization. During the factory visit, he ordered the active integration of artificial intelligence into the military sphere and also focused on artillery, tasking increased system automation and improved armor protection. Pyongyang has previously demonstrated a mobile launcher for loitering munitions capable of carrying and launching up to six drones.
