Dozens of furious students: Courses were canceled – but the money was not refunded
Dozens of students at SV College claim their studies were halted after just a few classes due to financial difficulties, but the funds they paid were not returned. According to them, attempts to get answers from the college management have gone unanswered, while payments continue to be collected. One student told C14: "I'm left with a hole in my account, and I have no one to talk to."
Dozens of students at SV College, which offers professional training in high-tech and digital fields, claim their studies were halted after just a few classes due to financial difficulties, but the funds they paid were not returned. According to them, attempts to get answers from the college management have gone unanswered, while payments continue to be collected. Shelly Orkabi, a business owner who enrolled in a digital marketing course, said she paid about 8,000 shekels for the studies and was offered the option to spread the amount over 12 interest-free payments, but later discovered it was financing through an external company. She said the course began in early September and was supposed to include about 25 to 30 sessions, but was stopped after about five classes. Orkabi claimed that during the holiday break, the study facility was dismantled, and the lecturer who taught the course had not received her salary for several months. According to her, a group opened two days ago already has nearly a hundred victims. She described being required to continue paying the financing company for fear of lawsuits. Among the victims are also post-trauma survivors and discharged soldiers. SV College has not yet responded.
