Court allows publication: Lawyer arrested by Shin Bet - and charged with contact with a foreign agent
The court allowed publication that an Israeli lawyer was arrested by the Shin Bet and police about two and a half weeks ago, and charged with contact with a foreign agent and obstruction of justice. The Central District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment and a request for detention until the end of proceedings.
A new security affair was cleared for publication: The State Prosecutor's Office today (Monday) submitted to the Central District Court in Lod an indictment against an Israeli lawyer, for committing offenses of contact with a foreign agent and obstruction of justice. The court acceded to the request of security officials and allowed publication that the lawyer was arrested for questioning about two and a half weeks ago by the Shin Bet and police, on suspicion of committing security offenses. The investigation findings revealed that she was in contact with a foreign agent contrary to legal provisions, and that she obstructed investigation proceedings. Upon completion of the investigation proceedings, the Central District Prosecutor's Office (Criminal) filed an indictment against the lawyer. Concurrently, a request was submitted for her detention until the end of legal proceedings.
