IDF forces exposed an underground cavity approximately 15 meters deep near the home of one of the terrorists involved in the encounter at the Yehuda Junction last weekend, in which two soldiers fell. The cavity was located as part of Operation "Roar of Judah" to counter terrorism in Hebron, during searches at over 500 locations in the city. During the excavation, an electronic device was found and transferred for investigation by security forces. The IDF clarifies that the cavity has no exit opening and is not near an Israeli settlement. The discovery comes against the backdrop of a report on Channel 14 that Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir requested to end the operation, claiming there is no operational need to continue it.
