Education Minister Yoav Kisch ordered the cancellation of the Meitzav exams, contrary to the recommendation of RAMA and the Moyal Committee. The cancellation will take effect from the 9th-grade math exam next month. Kisch prohibits cooperation with RAMA. In September, he tried to prevent the publication of low results in the Tenufa exams.
Education Minister Yoav Kisch ordered this morning (Tuesday) the cancellation of the Meitzav exams, contrary to the recommendations of the Moyal Committee of the National Authority for Measurement and Evaluation (RAMA). The cancellation will take effect from the exam scheduled for 9th grade in mathematics next month. Kisch prohibits Education Ministry employees from cooperating with RAMA, and the authority's director is not invited to the ministry. The article notes that in September, the minister tried to prevent the publication of a report on the results of the "Tenufa exams" that revealed low scores, but ultimately led to its publication. The reports show that only 3% of 9th-grade students in the 2025 school year fully met the requirements of the science and technology curriculum, 36% in English for 6th grade, and 37% in mathematics for 6th grade.
