Two residents of East Jerusalem, aged 23 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of setting a young woman's car on fire over a romantic dispute. According to the suspicion, the woman was in a relationship with the main suspect and the two were even engaged. After she decided to cancel the wedding, she began receiving threats from her ex-fiancé. Subsequently, the fiancé allegedly sent the other suspect to serve as an "executioner" and set the car on fire. Yesterday (Wednesday), a prosecutor's statement was filed against the two ahead of an indictment and a request for their detention until the end of proceedings. Their remand was extended in court until October 4. The investigation began on September 16 with a report of arson of a car used by the victim. Investigators from the Shevet station in the Jerusalem district gathered evidence that led to the suspects.
