The demonstrators claimed that this is an attempt to revoke the political representation of the Arab public. During the blockade, one of the activists read a statement condemning the moves against the parties, describing them as a racist campaign and emphasizing that this is an attempt to determine that democracy is intended for Jews only. "We reject the attempt to disqualify the Arab vote," the protesters declared. According to them, after three years in which the word democracy was heard from all sides, the current move against the lists constitutes the real test of the political system. The activists demand full rights including equality, justice, and peace for all citizens, and made it clear that they will fight for the voting rights of the Arab public.
