Recall for pool vacuum: "May cause fires"

The Ministry of Economy has issued a call to stop using the rechargeable handheld pool vacuum model Niya Aquasweep S10, due to fire risk. The defect was discovered during a manufacturer's inspection, which found compromised mechanical strength of the casing, potentially allowing water to enter the motor, causing a short circuit and ignition. The product was marketed between April and August 2026.

The Ministry of Economy has issued a public warning regarding a recall for the rechargeable handheld pool vacuum model Niya Aquasweep S10, in black, marketed in Israel between April 23 and August 14, 2026. The call for immediate cessation of use was published after the manufacturer, Hongkong Yimu Technology Limited / Lydsto from China, identified in an inspection a compromise in the mechanical strength of the product's casing. The defect may cause cracks and water penetration into the motor unit, potentially leading to a short circuit, overheating, and risk of ignition and fire. The public is asked to immediately stop use and charging, keep the product away from heat sources and flammable materials, and place it in a dry, ventilated area. Product owners are directed to contact the importer Mitronics Ltd. to arrange collection and receive compensation. The product bears SKU IL-9997301.
