Who young Israelis are voting for — poll results

A Midgam Institute poll among first-time Israeli voters (ages 18–22) shows Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party receiving 16% support, Likud 14%. 74% of respondents identify as right-wing. The survey also revealed a gap between Shas and Yahadut HaTorah among ultra-Orthodox youth.

A new poll by the Midgam Institute, conducted among 301 first-time Israeli voters aged 18 to 22, shows that Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party leads with 16% support. Likud, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, receives 14%, Beyahad under Naftali Bennett gets 10%, Yahadut HaTorah 9%, and Yair Golan's Democrats 7%. 74% of respondents described their views as right-wing or center-right, higher than among the adult population (67%). Among ultra-Orthodox youth, Yahadut HaTorah significantly outperforms Shas (45% vs. 20%). The poll also found that 59% of young people intend to vote for the same party as their parents. In comparisons of candidates for prime minister, Netanyahu leads both Bennett (46% vs. 34%) and Eisenkot (47% vs. 37%). The poll was conducted from September 15 to 22, 2026, with a margin of error of ±4.4%.
