When police ordered him to stop, he accelerated, hit a traffic island, abandoned the vehicle, and fled on foot into a school in the Gin neighborhood. Inside the school grounds, the suspect climbed onto the roof of the guard booth and refused to come down. One of the officers climbed after him and brought him down. After being arrested, the suspect threatened the officer, saying: "I will stab you, I will burn your children." The entire sequence was recorded on the officers' body cameras. An indictment and a request for detention until the end of proceedings were filed against the suspect. This is the third time he has been charged with driving without a license and the third time with driving while disqualified. He has previously served prison terms for similar offenses and also has a conviction for driving under the influence of drugs. During his interrogation, the suspect admitted that he was driving the vehicle and knew he was disqualified from driving.
