Bassal: 117 apartments and 819 citizens damaged in the latest strike on al-Sabra neighborhood
Mahmoud Bassal, the spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, announced that the latest Israeli bombing on the al-Sabra neighborhood south of Gaza City damaged 117 residential apartments, including 12 completely destroyed, 41 severely damaged, and 64 partially damaged. He explained that about 819 citizens have lost their shelter or are unable to return to their homes, amid harsh humanitarian conditions.
Mahmoud Bassal, the spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, announced that the latest Israeli bombing targeting a residential block in the al-Sabra neighborhood south of Gaza City caused extensive damage. Bassal stated, after a field follow-up and damage assessment, that the bombing led to the complete destruction and collapse of 12 residential apartments, rendering them uninhabitable, in addition to severe damage to 41 apartments and partial damage to 64 apartments. The total number of damaged apartments reached 117, housing about 819 citizens, distributed among those who lost their homes entirely, those whose return has become impossible, and those facing the burden of repairs. Bassal emphasized that the effects of the bombing are not limited to the moment of the strike but extend to harsh human suffering, especially for children, women, and the elderly who have lost their stability and shelter amid the ongoing aggression.
