At the expense of the partners: Eisenkot increases pressure on bloc voters
Gadi Eisenkot is intensifying his "big party" campaign, claiming he is the only candidate who can defeat Netanyahu. He calls for direct voting for him and tries to allay fears of losing votes in the change bloc.
Chairman of the "Yashar" party, Gadi Eisenkot, is intensifying his "big party" campaign in an attempt to attract votes from the change bloc parties. In a statement released ahead of election day, the former chief of staff claimed he is the only candidate who can replace the right-wing government, relying on suitability polls for prime minister in which he leads over Benjamin Netanyahu. Eisenkot called for direct voting for him: "There is only one way to replace Netanyahu: whoever wants change and a new prime minister, put 'Derech' in the ballot!" In an attempt to allay fears of losing votes, he claimed that the four bloc parties are coordinated and far above the electoral threshold. The article presents his words without a counter-response.
