Arab Israeli social media entrepreneur Nuseir Yassin, known for the viral vlog Nas Daily, said at a US conference on antisemitism that he believes anti-Zionism is a form of antisemitism. Speaking with the Jewish Telegraphic Agency on the sidelines of the David Merage Foundation for Confronting Antisemitism conference in Denver, Yassin stressed his commitment to overturning what he called 'misguided hate' against Jews. Yassin, a Muslim of Palestinian origin who describes himself as not religious, said he views Zionism as 'the most vanilla thing in the world – a group of people wanting a place to live,' and concluded that Israel's detractors 'just really don't like Jews.' He noted he is not a fan of the Israeli government but asserted that the reaction to it 'is absolutely fueled by antisemitism.' Yassin also discussed his evolving identity, saying that after the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023, he started listing Israeli first and Palestinian second, distancing himself from extremism. He presented a recap of a fellowship launched with the foundation to help 50 content creators—25 Jewish and 25 Muslim—produce meaningful material.
