Police in Yeosu, South Korea, arrested two men in their 40s on suspicion of stealing jewelry worth 30 million won and fleeing. The arrest comes just four days after they were caught in an identical robbery and released by a judge's decision. The modus operandi was precisely replicated: one suspect entered a jewelry store, asked to try on gold necklaces worth 30 million won, and the moment he put them on, he ran out. His accomplice waited in a getaway car, and the two fled. Within hours, they sold the jewelry and gambled all the proceeds on online sites. Investigators located the suspects hiding in separate motels in nearby cities and arrested them. Just four days earlier, on October 17, the two were caught after stealing identical loot from another jewelry store in the city. The police then requested an extension of their detention, but the court rejected the request on the grounds that "there is no risk of evidence tampering" and released them. The police now plan to file a new request for an arrest warrant.
