Deputy Minister Almog Cohen and MK Yitzhak Kreuzer (Otzma Yehudit) clashed with participants at an election conference in northern Israel. The confrontation erupted after Kreuzer accused Attorney General Gali Miara of being a "criminal woman" who would lead to a "catastrophe," following his claim that he was prevented from filing a complaint against police officers who allegedly attacked him. Kreuzer denied attacking police officers at Mitzpe Yericho and claimed he tried to calm a confrontation. Cohen addressed the struggle against establishing an airport in the Jezreel Valley and supported building it in the Negev, and declared his intention to advance sentencing reform with minimum penalties. Democrats chairman Yair Golan sharply criticized Shin Bet chief David Zini, accused him of failure in the Qatari affair investigation and in the war on Jewish terror, and expressed doubt about his ability to protect the elections. Golan also opposed establishing an airport at Ramat David on security grounds.
