Dr. Alaa al-Din al-Aklouk, head of the National Gathering of Palestinian Tribes, Clans, and Families, affirmed that Palestinian families and clans formed a safety valve for society in the Gaza Strip during three years of the genocide war, and contributed to securing aid, supporting citizens, and filling the security and administrative vacuum during the war. This came during a speech delivered by al-Aklouk at the inauguration ceremony of the Mukhtar of the al-Kahlout family on Sunday, in which he praised the steadfastness of Palestinian families and clans and their role in enhancing social cohesion and supporting the Palestinian people under the difficult conditions the Strip is experiencing. Al-Aklouk said that families and clans have recorded images of steadfastness and resilience during the years of war, forming a backbone for Palestinian society, stressing that their national and social role is growing in the current stage, especially in enhancing civil peace, protecting the social fabric, and entrenching values of solidarity and mutual support. He pointed out that a year after the announcement of the truce has not ended the suffering of Palestinians, considering that the continued attacks of the Israeli occupation confirm that the war on Gaza has not stopped, and directed a message to the Arab and Islamic nation about the necessity of urgent action and raising the voice against what Palestinians are facing of killing, destruction, and starvation. Al-Aklouk called on Arab and Islamic peoples to break the silence over the continued massacres in the Strip, affirming that the National Gathering of Palestinian Tribes, Clans, and Families will continue its efforts to protect the home front, enhance societal unity, and support families affected by the war.
