Yashar chairman Gadi Eisenkot and Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Lieberman are expected to meet this evening (Tuesday), after Eisenkot harshly attacked Lieberman last week over his attempts to aim for the premiership. In an interview with 103FM, Eisenkot said there are coordination meetings between the parties and substantive disagreements, but the shared goal is to defeat the failed government. On Thursday, Eisenkot addressed Lieberman's meeting with Naftali Bennett and said they are mistaken in not setting ground rules for a candidate for prime minister. Yisrael Beiteinu responded that Lieberman has no ego and has experience, and they are committed to forming a Zionist government without Netanyahu, the Arab parties, and the Haredi parties. Meanwhile, the Yashar party petitioned the chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Judge Noam Sohlberg, against Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and the Religious Zionism party, demanding the removal of an AI video showing Supreme Court President Yitzhak Amit, Judge Daphne Barak-Erez, and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara participating in a political protest. The petition claims the video incites violence against senior judicial officials and turns their state status into raw material for an election campaign.
