About NIS 7 million per year: El Al seeks to approve compensation package for chairman

El Al is seeking approval for an annual compensation package of about NIS 7 million for chairman Amikam Ben Zvi, including increasing his position to 100% and a monthly salary of NIS 157,000. The decision will be brought to a shareholder vote in November.

El Al Israel Airlines is seeking approval for a new compensation package for its board chairman, Amikam Ben Zvi, totaling approximately NIS 7 million annually. A general meeting of shareholders will convene on November 26 to vote on increasing Ben Zvi's position from 90% to 100%, just one year after his previous terms were updated. The monthly salary will stand at NIS 157,000 indexed to the consumer price index, with an employer cost of about NIS 2.6 million per year. Additionally, he will receive a bonus of nearly NIS 2 million and equity-based compensation of about NIS 2.4 million. For comparison, in 2025 Ben Zvi received total compensation of NIS 5.9 million. The company justified the request by citing the growth in the chairman's activities, including his appointment to additional roles within the group. Ben Zvi, 76, has held the position since 2021, following the acquisition of control by the Rosenberg family.
