"Acting from personal motives": Eisenkot's campaign manager responds to criticism in the Change Camp

Gadi Eisenkot's campaign manager, Ronen Menlis, defended the big-party strategy in a Zoom call that reached ynet, and attacked the partners in the Change Camp, claiming they are acting from personal motives.

Gadi Eisenkot's campaign manager, Ronen Menlis, defended the "big party" strategy of the Yashar party in a Zoom call with the party's campaign chiefs, which reached ynet. Menlis argued that if Yashar is not the largest party by a significant margin over Likud, the legitimacy of a change government would be smaller, and the president might task Benjamin Netanyahu with forming the government. He accused the leaders of other parties in the bloc of acting from "personal motives" to get specific candidates in, and said the only way to defeat Netanyahu is through a large party. Menlis also addressed Yair Lapid's criticism of the big-party campaign from 2022, calling the comparison "ridiculous."
