A month after the explosion in the car of Dudu Levy, chairman of the Likud branch in Or Yehuda, a 20-year-old man from Jerusalem was arrested on suspicion of planting the explosive device. The arrest was carried out yesterday (Monday), and the suspect was questioned by the crime-fighting unit of the Dan district. This morning he will be brought for a hearing at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court. The investigation raised suspicion that the background to the explosion was a financial debt, not a political assassination attempt as initially suspected. It also emerged that Levy is in contact with criminal elements. Levy himself claimed after the explosion that it was vandalism by his children, not an explosive device. The explosion occurred on September 18 at 3:00 AM in Or Yehuda, causing significant damage to the vehicle but no casualties.
