Eisenkot launches personal attack on Netanyahu: "A sick relationship"

Gadi Eisenkot attacked Benjamin Netanyahu in an interview with 103FM, accusing him of a 'sick relationship' with Yonatan Urich and claiming that 'the State of Israel does not have a competent prime minister'. Eisenkot also attacked Yinon Magal, rejected claims of support for a Palestinian state, and warned against election interference.

A week before the elections, Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Yashar party, launched a sharp personal attack against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an interview with 103FM. Eisenkot accused Netanyahu of a 'sick relationship' with Yonatan Urich, whom he called 'a suspect in treason', and claimed that 'the State of Israel does not have a competent prime minister'. He also attacked journalist Yinon Magal, calling him a 'third-rate journalist' and a 'pathetic echo chamber for the prime minister'. Eisenkot rejected claims that he is being operated by the Ashkenazi elite, and denied that an article he wrote in 2018 supports the establishment of a Palestinian state, calling the distribution 'a lie and falsehood in Netanyahu's method'. He expressed distrust in Netanyahu, saying he has not trusted him since leaving the cabinet, but expressed full confidence in Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi. Eisenkot called for elections to be held on time and warned against their disruption.
