A brother was recently born to Almog Saroussi, who was abducted from the Nova party and murdered by Hamas in Gaza at age 27. His father, Yigal, spoke today on the program "Half the Day" with Liat Regev on Kan News and told about the new light that entered the family that lost its son. Yigal and his partner Nira are not young, but managed to have a child after freezing eggs about 25 years ago. Yigal said that after the tragedy he remembered the freezing, and through a rare medical procedure they managed to achieve pregnancy, which he described as a "clear miracle" and almost non-existent in medicine in Israel and the world. The couple has two other children, Amit and Shaked, but it was important for them to have another child. Yigal clarified that the new baby, Lavi, is not a replacement for Almog, but a symbol for the people of Israel. He explained that the name Lavi was chosen because of its connection to strength, leadership, courage, and daring.
