IDF reveals: 170 of those presented to the world as journalists were terrorists

The IDF has published a study claiming that 170 Gazans presented worldwide as journalists were actually terrorists in Hamas and the PIJ. 118 belonged to Hamas's military wing, 49 to Islamic Jihad, and 17 of them infiltrated Israel on October 7. The disclosure includes verified evidence and a dedicated website.

The IDF revealed Thursday evening a long-term study claiming that 170 Gazans presented worldwide as journalists and media personnel were actually terrorists in the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip, primarily Hamas and the Islamic Jihad. 118 of those listed were operatives in Hamas's military wing, 49 in Islamic Jihad, one in the Desert Warriors organization, and two in the Resistance Committees. 17 of them infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 attack. The IDF identified a pattern in which Hamas and Islamic Jihad published information indicating that some of the dead were terrorists, after the narrative of deliberate harm to journalists became entrenched in the international arena. The disclosure includes verified evidence, visual materials, and documents produced by the terrorist organizations. Some of the terrorists worked for leading international media outlets: Reuters, CNN, ABC Australia, BBC, AFP, AP, and Le Monde. IDF spokesman, Brigadier General Efi Defrin, said that Hamas and its supporters are trying to create a false impression of indiscriminate harm. For the disclosure, the IDF established a dedicated website centralizing the names of the terrorists, their organizational affiliation, and the evidence. The disclosure coincides with the IDF's response to the film "Naz'a" dealing with target attack processes, which Defrin criticized as "distorted, misleading, and unrealistic."
