Israel ranked second worldwide in attack frequency, with 7.6% of all activity, behind the United States (25.5%). The report covers the period from July 2025 to June 2026 and indicates a 21% increase in ransomware attacks against Israel compared to the previous year. The main targets of Iranian activity are research and academia (28%), information technology (12%), transportation (11%), government bodies (8%), and research institutes (8%). Iranians exploit known security vulnerabilities, weak authentication, and phishing attacks. Head of the National Cyber Directorate, Yossi Karadi, commented on the report, emphasizing that Israel is engaged in an intense cyber campaign and that defense must operate continuously.
