A billion dollars in the crosshairs: IDF eliminates Hamas's money men

Throughout the war, the IDF and Shin Bet have eliminated 16 key financial operatives of Hamas, who managed money transfers worth over a billion dollars through a network of money changers in Turkey and the Gaza Strip. The security establishment said that the funds were used by the terror organization to finance terrorists, armament buildup, rehabilitation of terror infrastructure, and promoting terror attacks against IDF forces and Israeli civilians. According to the IDF, the Shin Bet and IDF are concentrating efforts to harm Hamas's financing capabilities, and in particular to prevent the rehabilitation of its infrastructure and military capabilities, while eliminating the network of money changers that funds the military wing and transfers money worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The IDF stated that the eliminations significantly harmed Hamas's military activity, and that the IDF and Shin Bet will continue to operate against elements involved in financing mechanisms.
