Abraham stated that he, co-director Rachel Szor, and producer The Guardian decided on the free release due to 'the interest and public importance.' He also offered Israeli cinemas the chance to screen the documentary at no cost, calling it 'a brave decision in the face of great violence aimed at concealing it.' The documentary is set for global theatrical release in over 50 countries, with its North American premiere on Saturday at the New York Film Festival. In response, the Israeli-American Council announced a rally outside New York's Lincoln Center, where it plans to show clips from October 7: Bearing Witness to the Massacre and feature Nova festival survivors. The IAC also launched a petition for theaters to include panels with October 7 survivor testimonials. Separately, an IDF representative attended a screening in Bologna, Italy, after which the military compiled a document of the film's claims. An IDF source stated the army is not considering altering its strike policies, asserting they 'operated with perfect precision from the start.'
