A 2.5 million shekel lawsuit against KSP: the problems with returning products
A request to certify a class action lawsuit for more than 2.5 million shekels was filed with the Lod District Court against KSP, alleging that the chain made it difficult for customers to cancel remote transactions by requiring them to keep the original packaging. The petitioner claims this policy violates the Consumer Protection Law. KSP stated that it was an isolated mistake by a representative.
A request to certify a class action lawsuit estimated at more than 2.5 million shekels was filed with the Lod District Court against KSP and KSP Express. The petitioner, represented by attorneys Yonatan Rapaport, Adam Levin, and Roee Biton, claims that the chain refused to allow him to cancel a purchase of Logitech speakers for 349 shekels because he did not keep the original packaging. According to him, service representatives offered to let him return the product with a 20% deduction from its price. The request alleges that the company's policy, which included a requirement to return intact packaging and restrictions on returning used products, violates the Consumer Protection Law and may mislead customers. KSP stated that it was an isolated mistake by a representative, and that the site's terms reflect a cancellation policy in accordance with the law. The company noted that it has many examples of receiving products without original packaging. The court has not yet ruled on the request.
